  33. My 2500 runs 2.1 but I don't use it enough anymore to justify
  34. upgrading to 3.x. (It doesn't even have a modem on it currently...
  35. but it's where my printer and scanner and CD ROM drive live).

  37. My 1200 runs 3.0 and I haven't seen any reason (yet) to upgrade
  38. it to 3.1.

  40. The two machines are in different rooms, parnetted together by
  41. a long cable (made from that special "low capacitance" wire
  42. so I get no errors at all despite the cable being 45 feet long).

  44. This isn't the ideal solution, but it works okay for me.

  46. I do all my WWW work on the 1200. I don't even have a browser
  47. on the 2500.  And the 1200 has twice the hard drive storage
  48. that the 2500 has. So in the case of my two machines, anyway,
  49. less is more :)

  51. My point is that if one has only one Amiga and it's running
  52. something less than 3.x it would be worthwhile to upgrade it
  53. to 3.1.
